چکیده
Stone-base, a material often used for base construction in flexible pavements, have recent studies been shown to be suitable as an all – concreting aggregate. This study investigated the crushing, flexural and split tensile strengths well other mechanical properties of stone-base laterized concretes (SBLC). Normal river sand fine aggregate was partially replaced by laterite while coarse proportion made stone base. Concrete mixes containing 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% 0% replacement (by weight) with were prepared. The workability fresh concrete determined using slump test. Observed slumps ranged between 20 70mm maximum crushing strength 23.6N/mm2 produced specimen 75% sand. All increased age curing quite comparable that control which stood at 25.1N/mm2. A density 2329kg/m3 recorded 28 days curing. showed stone-based are normal weight can purposes.

Effect of Stone Cast Type on Complete Denture Base Adaptation
Introduction: Few researches have been conducted researches on the influence of the type of dental stone used for fabrication of casts on the adaptation of denture bases. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of two types of stone casts on the accuracy of fit in complete denture bases. Methods: Using sixty fully replicated master casts obtained by duplicating a metal die represent...
متن کاملPhysiology of acid-base balance: links with kidney stone prevention.
Two processes permit the urine pH and the medullary interstitial pH to remain in an "ideal range" to minimize the risk of forming kidney stones. First, a medullary shunt for NH(3) maintains the urine pH near 6.0 to minimize uric acid precipitation when distal H(+) secretion is high. Second, excreting dietary alkali excreting alkali as a family of organic anions--including citrate--rather than a...

متن کاملGeocell-Reinforced Crushed Stone Base for Low-Volume Roads
Crushed stone bases are widely used for low-volume roads. However, shear strength of the crushed stone materials can be vastly improved by confining the material in geocellular confinement systems or geocells. Geocells are 3-dimensional honeycomb-like structures. The objective of this study was to test a geocell design with crushed stone (AB-3) in-fill and a thin hot-mix asphalt (HMA) surface l...
متن کاملCalcium Orthophosphate Cements and Concretes
In early 1980s, researchers discovered self-setting calcium orthophosphate cements, which are a bioactive and biodegradable grafting material in the form of a powder and a liquid. Both phases form after mixing a viscous paste that after being implanted, sets and hardens within the body as either a non-stoichiometric calcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHA) or brushite, sometimes blended with unr...
